Carpentry Australia’s 20 Days of Christmas Giveaway Unveils Tomorrow’s Heroes!

‘Tis the season of giving, and Carpentry Australia is spreading the festive cheer by shining a spotlight on the rising stars in the world of carpentry. This Christmas giveaway is not just about the presents under the tree; it’s about recognising and celebrating the exceptional talent within our carpentry community.

A Special Thanks to Our Generous Sponsors

Before we dive into the exciting news, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible sponsors—Milwaukee, Sutton Tools, and Paslode. Their generous contributions have made our prize packs truly spectacular, adding an extra layer of joy to the holiday season.

Tomorrow’s Heroes: Building Our Future

At Carpentry Australia, we believe in nurturing the next generation of carpenters and celebrating the diverse talent that makes our industry thrive. This Christmas giveaway is more than just a festive gesture; it’s a nod to the future heroes of carpentry—both among female carpenters and apprentices.

Aligning with one of our three structural pillars, “Nationwide community and collaboration,” this initiative embodies the spirit of bringing the carpentry community together. Our motto, “Keep the hammer swinging for longer,” resonates with the idea that the longer our members stay in the trade, the better carpenters they become.

Acknowledging Excellence and Fostering Confidence

The heart of this initiative lies in acknowledging the outstanding contributions of young apprentices and female carpenters. It’s a platform for employers and peers to nominate the rising stars they’ve witnessed in action. This recognition strengthens relationships and builds confidence, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated.

And the Winners Are…

In the thrilling showdown of the apprentice category, Alec Rudzki emerged victorious, leaving an impressive Joshua McCombe as the close runner-up.

Meanwhile, in the Female Carpenter category, Matilda Schembri proudly claimed the title of the Queen of Carpentry, with Sara Nibbs showcasing her skills as the noteworthy runner-up. A big shoutout to Empowered Women in Trades (EWIT), Carpentry Australia’s partner, for their steadfast support. CEO Hacia Atherton graced the stage, celebrating and announcing the phenomenal female carpenters, highlighting the incredible talents of women and young individuals in the industry.

A Well-Deserved Celebration

All nominees, get ready for a well-deserved Certificate of Acknowledgment and a bundle of goodies heading your way! We want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the giveaway, helping us spotlight the incredible talent shaping the future of carpentry—our Tomorrow’s Heroes.

As the year comes to a close, Carpentry Australia wishes all our members, sponsors, and partners a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We look forward to an incredible 2024 with exciting developments for all our members. Stay tuned for more carpentry adventures and success stories!
