Achieving Success at the Applied Building Technology Conference

Carpentry Australia recently participated in the Applied Building Technology Conference at Holmesglen, a gathering for aspiring carpenters and industry professionals. This event provided a platform for individuals across the construction industry to connect, learn, and explore various pathways and opportunities.

Recognising the importance of mentorship, Carpentry Australia has long been committed to supporting apprentices through initiatives like trade BBQs and events. It was rewarding to see familiar faces at the conference, many of whom encouraged their peers to consider the benefits of our sponsored apprenticeship membership program.

Our contribution highlighted our dedication to investing in the next generation of carpenters.  We aim to provide wide-ranging support and opportunities to ensure their success in the trade, guiding them through challenges and providing essential resources along the way.

During the conference, Carpentry Australia delivered a keynote address alongside the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), emphasising strategies to enhance earning potential, and secure a stable future in carpentry.

Within just seven days following the conference, Carpentry Australia facilitated the apprenticeship placements of three pre-apprenticeship students, exemplifying our commitment to nurturing talent and growth within the industry.

By empowering the next generation of carpenters and a providing supportive community, we can collectively build a stronger, more resilient industry.

Let’s keep the hammer swinging for longer
